KB can mean 1,000 OR 1,024 bytes — depends on context. KiB is specifically 1,024 bytes (binary). Our converter uses binary (1 KB = 1024 B), the OS standard.

Yes, but depends on dpi. We use 96 dpi (CSS standard, web). For print, multiply the result by your target dpi divided by 96. Ex: 300 dpi = ×3.125.
