How it works
Auto-detection + smart recommendation
We combine two paths so you don't waste time: direct file analysis and intent-based decision tree.
Detects the file type
Drop a file and we automatically identify it: PDF, image (including HEIC), ZIP. Then we suggest the most relevant tools for that type.
All in your browser
Type detection happens locally — the file only reaches the server when you confirm an action in a tool. Privacy by default.
No signup, no install
Works on any modern browser. Free for basic plans, upgrade for larger files and unlimited operations.
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about finding the right tool
Can I use this page instead of the home?+
Yes. This page has the same drag-drop magic as the home, but focused on decision. If you know you'll be using a tool but aren't sure which one, bookmark it.
What happens when I drag a file?+
We identify the type (PDF, image, ZIP, etc) locally in your browser, open a modal with the tools that make sense for that type, and clicking takes you to the tool with the file already loaded — no re-uploading.
What if my file isn't recognized?+
The modal shows a "see all tools" option so you can browse the full list. Common cases: .docx files (use PDF→Word in reverse), .xlsx (use PDF→Excel in reverse), niche formats.
Does the decision tree work without a file?+
Yes — that's the main use case. You answer "what do you want to do?" and we recommend 1-3 tools. Useful for planning before producing/downloading the file.
Why do some categories have many options and others few?+
It reflects our catalog depth. PDF has 14 tools (compress, merge, conversion, OCR, etc); ZIP has 2 (create/extract). Not every category needs many options.
Do you add new tools often?+
Yes. When a new tool ships, it automatically shows up in the decision tree under the right category. We currently have 34 tools and add ~3-5 per month based on community requests.
Can I link directly to this page?+
Yes — the slug is stable (/qual-ferramenta in PT, /which-tool in EN, /que-herramienta in ES). Use it freely in emails, posts, messages.
